FROM ORDER TO PAYMENT

A hospitality POS system that keeps your service running smoothly

During a busy service, there’s no room for duplicate work or unclear payment statuses. OmEs pay combines Flowmate point-of-sale software, compatible hardware, mobile payment terminals, and supported integrations into a system that helps your dining room, bar, kitchen, and back office work together seamlessly.

Your point-of-sale system is the hub of your business

A restaurant POS system does more than just record sales. It sends orders to the correct preparation station, helps staff manage tables and bills, processes corrections, and provides data for closing out and reporting. When the payment terminal and relevant applications are integrated, you avoid having to re-enter information over and over again.

OmEs pay works with Flowmate, a Belgian point-of-sale platform designed for restaurants, cafes, hotels, chip shops, bakeries, and other small businesses. The final configuration is tailored to your business model, team, and requirements.

Pay at your table, at the bar, or online

A mobile terminal allows customers to pay at their table, eliminating the need to walk to the register. At a fast-service counter, a fixed PIN pad may be more efficient. A combination of both is often a good choice when you serve both dine-in and takeout customers.

Online payment may also be relevant for reservations, deposits, gift cards, or orders. The available integration options depend on the reservation, ordering, or online store platform and the payment provider.

GKS 2.0: Both the cash register and FDM must be accurate

New hospitality businesses that fall under the registered cash register system as of July 1, 2026, must immediately use GKS 2.0. Both the cash register and the fiscal data module—also known as a “black box”—must be GKS 2.0-certified. The updated FDM sends receipt details online to the FPS Finance cloud.

Existing businesses will be given a transition deadline based on the purchase date of their current point-of-sale system. Have your deadline verified well in advance, and don't wait until the last few months to plan for hardware, networking, certification, and installation.

When is a registered point-of-sale system required?

The applicable threshold is based on more than 25,000 euros in revenue, excluding VAT, from restaurant and catering services, excluding beverages. Regular sales of food, takeout meals, and beverages do not count toward that threshold calculation. The rules include exceptions and situations that you should review with your accountant or the Federal Public Service Finance.

Even if you aren't required to do so, a professional point-of-sale system can offer operational benefits. In that case, don't call it a GKS requirement, but rather a voluntary choice for a better workflow.

From reservations to accounting

Support must be available when your business is in full swing

A restaurant doesn't benefit much from a help desk that closes before the evening service. OmEs pay offers technical support seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Many issues can be troubleshot remotely; if that isn't sufficient, we'll determine what kind of intervention is necessary and feasible within your business model.

Because OmEs Pay installs and is familiar with your setup, you’ll have a single point of contact who understands how the register, terminal, and integrations work together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which POS system does OmEs Pay offer for the hospitality industry?

OmEs pay works with Flowmate, a Belgian point-of-sale platform designed for restaurants, bars, hotels, chip shops, and bakeries, among others. The features and hardware are configured based on your business model, the number of workstations, kitchen workflow, and GKS requirements.

Yes, using a mobile payment terminal. If there is a supported POS integration, the amount can be automatically transferred from the POS system. Check your Wi-Fi or cellular coverage, battery status, and the procedure for splitting bills.

GKS 2.0 is the next-generation version of the Belgian registered cash register system. The cash register communicates with an updated, certified fiscal data module, which transmits receipt details online to the FPS Finance. Both the cash register and the FDM must be certified.

No. The tax data module, often referred to as a “black box,” remains part of the system and is being updated. The claim that digital certificates alone completely replace the physical module is incorrect.

Starting July 1, 2026, new businesses must immediately use GKS 2.0 if they are subject to the requirement. For existing GKS users, the deadline is July 1, 2027, July 1, 2028, or January 1, 2029, depending on the purchase date of the current cash register.

The general rule applies a threshold of more than 25,000 euros in revenue (excluding VAT) from restaurant and catering services, excluding beverages. Takeout and the sale of food and beverages do not count toward that threshold. Have any exceptions confirmed by your accountant or the Federal Public Service Finance.

Flowmate offers solutions for point-of-sale, mobile use, kitchen management, and back-office operations. The specific screens, printers, and workflows used depend on the chosen configuration and hardware. These details are determined during the intake and testing phases.

This is only possible if the chosen reservation platform and point-of-sale system offer a supported integration. OmEs pay reviews the technical documentation. Even without a direct integration, a reservation platform can still be valuable on its own.

Flowmate and Scrada offer a point-of-sale integration for forwarding daily receipts and payment methods. Depending on the specific setup, you may need both a digital daily receipt log and a cash book. Please consult with your accountant and review the current product terms and conditions.

OmEs pay offers technical support seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Remote support is often available. On-site service, loaner devices, and response times depend on the agreement and the nature of the problem.
